Dedham Girls Softball League Summer League & Tournament Team 2025 Tryouts!!! TRYOUTS November 3, 2024 10U - 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. - Dedham High Gym 12U 7:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. - Dedham High Gym Summer league is a competitive softball season beginning mid-June through the end of July/early August in which players participate in the Hockomock Girls Summer Softball League. Additionally, 10U and 12U teams (14U TBD) will play in 3-4 weekend tournaments. Roster space is limited, and full commitment is expected for practice and game attendance. Teams will begin practicing indoors in late fall/winter and continue through spring. Tryouts will be held for 10U, 12U and 14U and are mandatory for BOTH returning and new summer league players. Please note that, in accordance with new rules from USA softball, the age of the child on September 1, 2024 will determine which age group she will play in for summer 2025 (see chart below).

If rostered, $125 will be due by 12/31/24 and the final payment of $125 due by 4/30/25, before summer league play begins. She will need a glove, face shield, bat and helmet. ALL ARE WELCOME/ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE IN TRYOUTS! ***DGSL is looking for coaches to help with summer league play (based upon interest, DGSL may roster B team(s) for 10U and 12U Hockomock/tournaments and a rec league team(s) for farm). --- Pitching Clinic -Registration Open Our weekly clinics will be held on Sundays from November through May and will teach players the skills necessary to become a successful softball pitcher. This clinic is led by our professional pitching instructor Aimee Sullivan. Each participant must bring their own adult catcher to each session.
