SPRING FIELD LOCATIONS
The main focus of Dedham Girls Softball is to provide a fun, safe, educational and instructional Spring recreation league. We offer programs for girls in grades K-8. Please note that each girl will be placed in the division that best suits their skills and developmemt. Again, the safety of each girl impacts the division of play.
The Spring season runs from late April to early June and is capped off with our end of the year Awards Banquet.
Instructional Division
The Instructional Division is for players in grades K-3.
The focus is on teaching the fundamentals of the game while having fun
Sessions are held on Monday and/or Wednesday evenings starting at 6:00 p.m. at Sugrue Field ( turf field behind Park and Rec/Rte. 135)
Farm Division
In this division, the players will have basic skills and understanding of the game, and focus more on team play and skill-building. There will be a combination of player-pitch and coach-pitch, ensuring no walks.
Farm Division is for players in grades 2-3. Some newer players can be asked to play at Instructional Level to learn basic hitting and fielding skills. Our goal is to place girls where they will be most successful and gain the most development during the Spring.
Preseason practices are held 1-2 times per week. Once games begin coaches will continue to practice in addition to approx 2 games per week. Games will be played on Monday & Wednesday evenings.
Junior & Senior Divisions

Players will provide their own pants. Black pants are preferred, but some teams have elected to wear grey. Check with your coach.
Games are held our well maintained fields, including the state of the art turf at Sugrue Field. The season runs from mid April through the first week of June, ending with the popular Awards Banquet.
